Self Isolation

Day two of the New Zealand Lock Down, very odd feeling and had to start wondering if it was really Friday. It felt more like a Sunday with only Freight Trucks doing deliveries and the occasional car on the road. Seems more people than ever have taken up recreational walking and one or two runners. New Zealand is moving into the next phase of the Lock Down with a total ban on Domestic Travel, this is important to reduce the potential overload of our Health Care System when the Virus hits us. Self Isolation does not mean Solitary Confinement or Home detention all we need to do is no unnecessary movements, this includes driving to parks and recreational area's to exercise. Only go out if you have to, doing this will keep everyone safe. One person in Auckland was stopped and turned around for driving to a park to walk his dog, he complained as it was only a 5 minute drive to the park. I don't know what the issue was for him as he could have walked the 8 minutes it would have taken him, both himself and his dog would have got an extra 16 minutes of fresh air. It has been bitterly cold today, this evening I cleaned the Flu on the wood burner and got the  fire going. 4 pieces of Blue Gum after the fire got going was enough for the whole night. Stay safe.
