A beautiful evening

Such a beautiful evening.. after a cold but sunny day.

Yesterday a dear Uncle passed away...suddenly and in hospital after going in with pain and with a prospect of investigation... too late.  Such a shock.  His special and wonderful wife is of course self isolating having spent time in the hospital.  She is over 80 herself but fit.  It is so hard not to be able to go near her.... to give her a hug, to share time together.  The funeral will be pared back... not allowed in the church so it will just be around the grave and will probably consist of just 4 or 5 of us (2m apart) and no gathering afterwards.. so, so hard and cruel.

I let off steam at my new neighbour who is doing the building work next door.  He has a team of three people living in the property who are doing the work but today the owner appeared, with another delivery man who spent time on site and also a drain man.. when l went up stairs l saw three of them including the owner in a huddle over a small plan .. certainly not 1 metre apart let alone 2..
I challenged him.. who are these people coming to the village mingling with the three workers... where and who has he been meeting with.. is the work so essential that it needs to be being done during the lock down.  No masks? Does he think is is immune? Could he be carrying it? Might the virus be brought to the village? my gate?.. basically l blew my top ... all because one of his visiting vans had blocked our driveway...
l requested he has some consideration for others, himself, his family, his builders, and of course most importantly our nurses and NHS.  When will people stop thinking they are invincible??????????? Go home and B****y well stay there until things are better....don't be so selfish!!
Rant over!
The moon was the finest and most wonderful slivver tonight
