Dutch flowers

I'm feeling sad for the flower industry here in The Netherlands. Over 2 billion tulips are grown here and 77% of the world's flower bulbs originate here. Spring is usually the busiest time but now most of the flowers are having to be composted. The bustling flower markets cannot go ahead due to the ban on public gatherings and deliveries and shipments have been grounded. Some small-scale flower sellers get by with passing trade of people going for groceries, some flowers are given away to charities and hospitals, but that doesn't make much of a dent in the masses that have to be destroyed. Another in a long line of trades which is going to suffer greatly at this time.
