A view from home

This view has been a feature of our lives ever since we settled here nearly 30 years ago. For most of that time it was neglected and we saw only deer in it. Now it is home to six highland cattle. This morning, for once, they were in sight of the house and facing down the hill instead of showing their rears.

We took another walk up Kinnoull Hill. Walking along the main road, we saw less traffic than Wednesday, and again we passed just a few dog walkers.

I was told that the main car park for the hill has been closed, and I see online that Forestry and Land Scotland have closed all of their car parks. Once again, public organisations are running ahead of government rules - whether that is good or bad I have no idea.
