Spaghetti Mikado

We were taking stock of the food this morning - DJ wanted to have a list of those items going off date soon and made a spread sheet for me - and that's when an open bag of spaghetti decided to throw itself from the highest shelf, ending up like some kind of mikado (picking up sticks) game on the kitchen floor. We'll have to brave the supermarket tomorrow again for the once a week shopping. I have to get used to cooking for three and one day of the week even for four as in the neighbourhood we're taking turns to cook for one of our neighbours who has had the virus and is recuperating at home while her partner is in ICU since last Saturday with serious complications from the virus. (Don't worry, we are all keeping our distance, delivering the meals on her doorstep). In our province in The Netherlands the virus outbreak started first and we've been on semi-lock down for over three weeks now, it seems that the spread of the virus over here is now finally slowing down, but definitely spreading rapidly in the other provinces. So much so that the outlook is rather bleak, we may not have enough ICU beds in the whole country from this coming week.

Thanks so much for the many Abstract Thursday entries. We'll just have to continue to make abstracts inside because staying at home and not socialising in person is really the best thing we can do, if we're not working in the essential professions. This coming Thursday's optional theme is 'repetition' and the tag will be AT249.

Here's the list of last Thursday's specials:
stevvi          inside a bottle
PaiviPuu     tap reflections
ladypop      inside a glass
loisbiz         layers of magenta feathers
admirer      layers and light

Thanks again, also for the kind comments, stars and hearts and most of all for your support this past week. I'll post an update on the Singapore situation tomorrow.
