Isolation

Today I visited Mum to bring her some groceries. She's confined to her apartment, under instructions not to go shopping, and she only walks in the grounds of her block. I spent the best part of an hour fixing her clock and chatting, but I probably won't be back until late in the coming week. All this helps to keep her safe, but it means that she scarcely sees anyone to talk to. At least she can look out onto a sports field and see people walking dogs. The best view from her block is of Arthur's seat, but she doesn't get this now that the sun lounge is closed (as is the other big communal space). This is taken from the stairs, but she needs to use the lift.
