One daze at a time...

Tales from Covid

Lockdown Day #... Shite, what day again? Number 3? 4? 723?
They all seem to blend into each other already. It was another bright, cold, blustery day. With no rain. It must the fourth or fifth day in a row. In 'normal' times, this would be front page material. Strange how everything is relative...
I did manage my daily swim. It was gorgeous. Then some work, still trying to source PPE that is not priced as if it were made of unicorns' tears. And could be shipped before October 2023. With the added bonus of doing some detective work and trying to gauge the level of authenticity of scanned CE registration certificates.
Then some Chinese dumplings. These were no counterfeit as I made them myself with my ten little fingers. While Mrs Raheny was experiencing the excitement of a Zoom call with most of her cousins across several continents and at least three postal districts in Dublin. It was good fun. Even when Pepe was doing his shite-stirring best when holding up a "support President Trump" sign.
Such behaviour should be punished by house arrest. For at least two weeks.
Then I dragged Luca out for his only bit of fresh air of the day. On the freezing side of fresh it was too. He was moaning a bit as he had to changed from his pyjamas to his jeans, at 7.30 PM... We walked to the cemetery, around the cemetery and back. And had a good, long, uninterrupted chat.
That was nice.
