Alikreukel at Franskraal

One of the nice things about visiting South Africa, is going alikreukel hunting with my sister in the sea at her beach house at Franskraal. You have to buy a permit, and are only allowed to take out 5 per person per day. They are a bit gross to clean, but once cooked and minced and fried, they are delicious.

There are always lots of beautiful things to see under the water, and I can never resist picking up a green sea urchin. It is a challenge though to get it home safely without crushing it by accident.
