A show of humanity

Today is the 70th Birthday of a friend from church. All the plans, all the cake, all the hugs from grandchildren, all on hold until who knows when.

So today a good number of us planned a drive by Birthday party for him.

It was surprisingly emotional for him as he stood on the steps and waved and talked with us each through open car windows.

But it was emotional for us as well as we saw so many of our friends we haven’t seen in weeks. Lauralea was crying as we drove home.

I guess we were surprised how much we miss people.

Kinda hard, but kinda good too.
