Prisoner 24601

Food of the Gods

For many decades Saturday was a day for football, either participating or organising.

This time last year I made a life changing decision to give it all up. It was becoming consuming both in terms of time and health. It was tough at first, a bit like withdrawal symptoms or as my doctor labelled it 'a death in the family'.

Time is a healer though and I've adjusted just fine.

What I do miss is the traditional pie and bovril that is a staple in Scottish football.

So this morning on my daily permissible walk, I popped into our local shop and bought two Scotch pies plus a box of Oxo cubes.

Lunch is ready!
