Our New Life

Lockdown Day 5 - The Work Day

So as you may know by now, if you've been following that is, we woke early and had our morning coffee in the garden with the sound of the birds.
You can tell the seasons are changing, not just from the change in temperature but the different birds and their calls. The Woodland Kingfisher, a summer visitor, seems to have gone now until next summer. Their call is a very popular one in our area, it's something all us birders wait for. Winter time brings a different orchestra, this includes the Fiery-necked Nightjar in the early evenings and even throughout the night. A sound one can sleep soundly to.

Anyway, moving on to the rest of our day and to explain the title of this one....

J spent most of the day working from home while I did a spot of studying (ssshhhh.... the nap monster got me again today) but my studying did continue after dinner...!

Today I made dinner, roasted vegetables and goats cheese with couscous. It was delicious. As you can see I made a friend during preparation.

And so back to the studying.... This involved being outside looking up at the night sky. (and with a nice glass of Amarula, I thought that was compulsory!! )
