Mostly Six Five Oh

Day 15.  Week 3

Out the car window, en route to the store, where there is still very little to buy.

Today we were visited by bees.  Many, many bees.  For some reason one of our balconies became a spot of great interest.  It was totally bee-zarre.  Sorry.

A group would arrive, all honey bees, they would fly around en masse as if scouting and mapping, and then fly off.  Not interested in landing, not interested in any of our plants.  This went on for hours!  Back and forth.  There'd be a gap of 10 minutes when they'd disappear, then they'd be back, like they were on a curcuit.  We are located by a large park and there have been instances of swarms relocating there so the worry was the same would happen but on our balcony.  But so far not the case.  When the temperatures started to drop in the early evening and the bees cleared off - to where, who knows? - I went out and sluiced the deck and wetted the plants just in case there was some pollen or something attracting them.

Tomorrow we shall see if the bees come back.

Hubby had a full on day - the stress and the voices of others on the conference calls from work permeating our entire space.
