With Japan on brink of virus emergency, Tokyo could keep schools closed until May.  Japan has  2,200 cases and 66 deaths 
New Zeeland was placed into a complete lockdown last Thursday, and a national emergency was declared.  Offices and schools were shut and all non-essential services, bars, restaurants, cafes, gyms, cinemas, pools, museums, libraries and playgrounds were closed.

NZ has recorded a total of 708 cases

Nearly 3,900 people have already died from COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus, in the United States

Worldwide, there are now more than 800,000 cases of the highly contagious illness caused by the virus and more than 40,000 deaths reported
