Burgh Island

A leisurely day exploring around rural Devon today.

Firstly, for lunch and a stroll along Slapton Sands where Excercise Tiger took place. Having never heard of it, that was my history lesson for the day.

Then, a drive along winding country roads to Bigbury-on-Sea where you get a brilliant view of Burgh Island opposite (that's Burgh like Burg apparently, in contrast to yesterday...!) And while you're here, why not stay over at the lovely art deco hotel , following in the footsteps of Agatha Christie and Noel Coward...and some sort of GMTV weight loss show...

Oh, and yeah, this is a tidal island.
