Keeping our distance

This is daughter's house, complete with rainbows and thankyous for all those key workers. The nurse face on the right was photographed and commented on by a nurse on her facebook page, saying it made her day, as she drove by every morning. One of daughters friends spotted it on facebook and told daughter what the nurse had said and that she was called Siobahn, so now every day daughter & granddaughter change the picture for her :-D

I ran/walked most of the 5km to daughters and hub collected me en route as last time. I didnt get quite as far as last time, as it poured down, hail too, for 5-10 mins! I tried to shelter under some trees for a little while, without much success....looked like a drowned rat, but ploughed on ;-))

Daughter went to Lidl early, got some fresh stuff for us too, hence the trip to hers. You can see her here, with her sulky "stuck indoors" face, together with granddaughter Emily, who was keen to get back to her phone chat with school friends, once she had said hello ;-))

We chatted for 20mins or so before saying our farewells. We quickly stopped off at the Coop as Id forgotton to ask for tonic water, luckily I got a couple of bottles...and a couple of bottles of merlot! Also got two of the three things daughter wasnt able to get and I even got hub a newspaper, something he's not had for a couple of weeks!

Back home, hands washed, things wiped and put away, we had a simple lunch, beans and fried egg on toast and a coffee, before we changed into our scruffs to finish off the jet washing.

We did the semicircular patio under the arbour the two paths that lead to the front door and lastly the side path......all done in a couple of hours or so. We alternated and inbetween, the other was raking the moss up in back lawn!

After we had hosed everywhere down, wiped the doors, the equipment etc etc we changed our waterproofs and had a cuppa in the summerhouse, before heading indoors in time for the daily conference.

Dinner tonight was lucky dip.....you know those plastic storage containers with leftovers in the freezer.....no idea what they are until they defrost! Hub ended up with liver onions and gravy, I had curried shepherds pie.
I made some extra mash and peas to go with them.

Not sure whats in store on tv tonight......but whatever it is thats about as exciting as its going to get tonight.

My walking has gone out the window of late
25/3 to 3/4 = 17.5 miles
Total to date = 269.5 miles
