Black and White Rose

I spent the day being a chimney-sweep, after the Rayburn stove started spewing smoke into the living room last night.

It is amazing how much soot can accumulate in these things without you noticing, and then all of a sudden they don't work.

Consequently we had an chilly early night with hot water bottles last night, and this morning it was down to work dismantling and cleaning the coal and log fired stove.

So, I have hardly been out, although the stove is now powering the central heating and hot water again.

So, here is another in-the-house blip, this time of a slightly past its best rose.

I must admit to being rather pleased with it!
