Day 10: Salute Aotearoa....

Day 10 of the Nationwide Lockdown. Such a dark early morning to walk with Maisie. It was a headlamp morning. Daylight saving finishes at 3am tomorrow morning. So the clocks go back one hour. My salute to Aotearoa is to the glorious pink rose I have shown here. It is growing in a neighbour’s rose bed next to the footpath. I often stop to smell the roses as I walk by. I asked for help from the Facebook group of New Zealand Rose Growers to identify this rose. Bred by one of the famous McGredy rose growers and named “Aotearoa” it is also known as “New Zealand”.. A stunning rose with a glorious fragrance.
