Mandarin duck

No, not a menu option from the Chinese takeaway ... We saw this beautiful bird on the village pond in Crawley near Winchester, looking a bit reluctant to join his less vibrantly coloured friends in the water. Half of the pond was still frozen over today, despite the warmer weather.
