Cooriedog Walk 11 : Cottage Track

Down off the hill, we follow a track around the cottage and get back to Crow's Corner.  We are surely on our way home now.  The cottage is the only human habitation we pass on the walk.  It used to be a small farm cottage with attached byre.  More recently it was owned by a local doctor and his family.  He turned into a home with all sorts of quirkiness - sauna in the garden, bedroom in a cupboard and starcase that only the smallest could climb.  the family spilt up leaving a trail of gossip of affairs and stabbing.  the doctor rented it out to a couple who wanted to buy it but the doctor's valuation did not match theirs.  Eventually they moved on and the property lay empty until the doctor when into partnership with a developer who did not view quirkiness as a saleable feature; it was gutted.  But it sold quickly and is now owned by a young couple for whom song writing is their business and can do much online.  They also run songwriting workshops and rent the place out for small parties through AirBnB.  And their grass is cut by a robot.
