Wood Anenomes

I think the woods where I walk every day are looking at their very best now.
Primroses are everywhere,  while wood anemones and celandines fight for space amongst the bright green emerging shoots of other unknown plants.

The woodland floor is littered with fallen trees and branches, casualties of the rough storms earlier this year. Many of these are covered in ferns and mosses, adding to the magic that is Spring.
