The snake's-head fritillary is an unmistakeable plant with  its chequered, purple, pink or even white, bell-like flowers, nodding on thin stems. It has narrow, grey-green leaves that appear at the base of the plant and occasionally up the stem.

I spotted this lovely wee flower when out in the garden today, and it had to be my blip.

Have been busy today;  washed one pair of our living room curtains, will do the other pair tomorrow.  Made soup with my chicken stock from our yesterday's roast, and have a pot of Bolognese sauce on the stove at present cooking away, to keep the freezer full.

It is a beautiful sunny day and very windy, perfect for drying the washing.

Today is Day 21 of our isolation, and we are surprised at how much we find to do around the house and garden.
