Left Behind!

Cousin Dana and I managed to have a very pleasant walk to the nearest park (whilst maintaining social distance!). We witnessed the abandonment of half of a duckling family, when the mother and the bigger siblings were able to navigate the step up stream, but several smaller ones were not able to and got left behind, despite their desperate squeaks which went unheeded! I wanted to reach in and lift them up the step, but they swam away before I could help! So sad. Hope they were reunited eventually!
