Last night's rumbustious wind was promoted to a government orange alert storm that persisted all day.  At least it wasn't raining, but the plane trees outside my windows danced alarmingly close. 
 
The government is distributing free, mandatory masks for all who venture forth from their homes - only those between the ages of 20 and 64 being allowed to do so without special cause.

Week 3 of online teaching begins and I feel remarkably proficient most of the time. Student attendance is variable, but those who check in are learning. I think.

Dullsville evening, thank God for social media. My day went better than Boris Johnson's however as he ended his in ICU at St Thomas' hospital. No one is immune. 

Stories of loss and worry in the school's community begin to trickle through, but a splendid effort by the admin team to roll out a lunchtime zoom video of good news and promises for all to find some joy in.
