Wood Anemones

A perfect weather day today - warm and sunny but not too hot.  We took our permitted exercise today by walking up through Yewbarrow Wood, then up onto Hampsfell and returning along the ridge to the rear of our house.  It's a lovely short circular walk that gives a great variety of scenery.  The cellandines and the wood anemones are beautiful at the moment but the bluebells are only just beginning to bud.  Once we reached the ridge we were serenaded by skylarks all the way home.
