Wale Monument

Went for a different walk this morning out of the village in the opposite direction and up to the Wale Monument the nearest we have to a hill in this area.
You can see our village in the trees to the right of the monument.
It was erected in 1739 by James Church in memory of his friend Gregory Wale. You can read it up in the extra.
It is a good walk only trouble is a lot of it is on roads with no pavements and is usually very busy, but not today.
Home to a bit of gardening and fitted the clutch and top to the organ.
No dancing at the moment but we are going to all have a Zoom chat, could be interesting.
