Day 15 – Portobello

It was such a nice day that we decided to cycle to Portobello and now that the roads are really quiet we went along Princes Street, passed Meadowbank and down Portobello High Street. Normally it would be horrible but there was virtually no traffic and it was lovely. We came back along the prom and people were really following the rules on social distancing so it wasn’t as fraught as we thought it might have been. The blip is a couple of kids enjoying the afternoon sun on a breakwater; the one furthest out had wet feet and trousers much to his mother’s annoyance. Still he wouldn’t be cold. The extra is a peacock butterfly that S had rescued from the shed where it was stuck and a ladybird I saw on the sea wall from where the blip was taken. A good bit of exercise.
