A Monday Morning Walk in the Woods

It was another pretty morning, the sky was blue, and I had the day off. So we headed back out to the woods. We are fortunate in that our local gameland is about a 15-minute walk or bike ride from our house. So that is where we went.

The water is a bit high in the beaver ponds right now due to the heavy rain we received about 10 days ago. This particular pond had overflowed its banks, and I stood in the mud along the edge to take this picture, with blue sky and green trees reflecting on the still waters.
