Nesting

I did Mum and Dad's weekly grocery run today and, when I parked up at their place, saw this jackdaw busily gathering nesting material on the side of the road. It's reassuring that while we're all having to live abnormal lives at the moment, wildlife is carrying on regardless. It was really nice to see my parents, particularly as we won't be able to have our usual Easter gathering this weekend.

I'm still to identify yesterday's mystery insect. In the meantime, there's a shieldbug from today's minibeast photo session in Extras, if of interest.
