Old and new

The end of last season's apples and the start of bought ones. The shop apples are uniform size and a beautiful colour, but the taste of Cox's Orange Pippins wins hands down. After a few months of buying apples we should be starting on the Beauty of Bath and continuing with other home grown varieties until early April next year. Very satisfying!
