Distant Birch

Across the marsh a few birch trees are grouped together. I think it was the yellow of the willow that caught my eye first, but then the white trunks standing out against the darker trees behind became the focus of my attention. We don't have many birch and they tend to topple easily, I imagine due to wet feet.

Taken with the zoom at full extent, I was surprised by how sharp the image is. I was able to select the sky with a range mask in LR and tone it down enough to help emphasize the birch trees.
