Rivers have Burst.

Here we can see the riverside bikeway which goes under the road bridge running overhead. From the bikeway there is a floating pontoon that can be used for launching watercraft. The steel walkway runs down from the bikeway to the pontoon on the river. However you can see that the walkway is now heading UP to the pontoon which has pretty much jammed itself up against the road bridge and the bikeway completely disappears under the water. There's actually not a great deal of room left under the bridge for the water. The skate bowl nearby is now a swimming pool and one of the barbecues in the park is under the water there somewhere. It is quite surprising just how quickly the water has risen and now the wind has picked up. The shade sail over our spa has had its hooks ripped out of the wall and the gate around the back of the house has been broken in half. Now the water from the creek has reached the end of our street. I would say there is no fear of the water reaching our yard but i'm sure the neighbours across the road are a little nervous as a small portion of their backyard is underwater!
