FaceTime

Domestic scene Friday evening. A FaceTime call with B to congratulate him on winning Tech Journalist of the Year at the National Press Awards.  Although ‘at’ isn’t quite right as there’s no ceremony.  Caught him queuing outside his local Sainsbury’s, shuffling forward, two metres apart, one in one out.  And yes Vik seems to be ready for some wine in the background of the pic. Those big orange blobs are 3kg weights that I am *thinking* of using.   Although we’re trying to keep meetings (VCs) off Fridays it was still a busy day. I got to go into. Petersfield in the morning to pick up some bread that the local gastro pub is baking and selling.  Queues outside Waitrose but nothing in the little greengrocer so grabbed some fruit and veg there.  We’re all beginning to realise that it’s not the time for sourcing too many complex ingredients so to the friend planning to cook their way through Ottolenghi during the Lockdown I say - good luck!!
