Grey Garvel morning

This morning gave an angry sky over Garvel Dock in Greenock, this was a quick shot looking down the dock towards the river with the Stern of the Highland Princess beyond the pleasure craft.

Not always a berth for the yachts and cruisers, I remember as a young child being taken to the docks to see the sugar boats, weather ships and derelict old paddle steamers, including the Duchess of Hamilton, a reminder of this industrial use can be seen with the large dock cranes and the tugs that are visible through the masts.
