Sunbeams

Borage

My father game me a seedling over 30 years ago and the plants, self-seeded from year to year, are still flowering here nearly all the year round.

The plant is thought to have come originally from Syria in ancient times as Pliny the Ancient Greek naturalist said of it: "maketh a man merry and joyful" comforting the heart and lifting spirits.  Today's herbalists consider it to be a diuretic, good for sore throats and an emollient.  It also helps fevers and pulmonary complaints or acts as an aid to recovery of  an exhausted person.  Sounds good!
