Galleons Lap

We said farewell today. Jo's cremation was very restricted, we were 13 in number, when we arrived they told us only 10 were allowed, but relented and let us all in. An outer courtyard is all that is permitted right now and about twenty minutes to say goodbye. My main picture is Z reading a piece from Winnie the Pooh which her sister Dara, who lives in Ontario wanted read. Thanks to the gods of technology we had an iPhone on a tripod and were able to stream the farewells to Dara and her family and Jo's grandson Isaac in another part of Ontario, the slight sound of stifled sobs coming to us from across the world. We played music, read poems and spoke about Jo's long, rich and varied life. It was, under the circumstances, a good send off.
Afterwards Z, J and I went to Autumn and Theo's place and talked some more and ate Magnum ice creams, (extra) Jo's favourite.
My second extra is my online scrabble screen, Jo had a habit of pressing the rematch button repeatedly when the game was won or lost, so I usually  had about half a dozen games on the go with her. I'll miss our games.
It's the little things that trip you up.
Take care of each other and thanks for your thoughts.
