The rule of thirds

I have to say that the rule of thirds is a chicken and egg thing for me.

I love landscape photography - taking photos and appreciating others.

Before I had ever heard of the rule of thirds, the photos I took generally seemed to observe that approach.

Is that because I have an innate appreciation of the rules? Or have I been photographically conditioned.

All I can say is that I don’t consciously consider the rule of thirds when framing a photo.

Except on this occasion!
