Crimson Bottlebrush

Real name Callistemon citrinus. Other common names; Red Bottlebrush or Lemon Bottlebrush. Also Monarch butterfly and out of focus bee. It was actually the bee and about a million of its mates that made us pause as the whole bush was covered in them. The Monarch was an added bonus. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting. Another beach extra to show the autumn sunshine. Should last another couple of days until the remnants of cyclone Harold pay us a visit. On the walk we heard a strange sound, it was an aeroplane which we found out later was the repatriation flight by Lufthansa. The passengers were given a bit of a scenic detour over Auckland to say goodbye.
