Google Watercoloring
My Urban Sketching class had our first online class. I've become rather adverse to anything online, so it was with quite a bit of trepidation that I took part in the class. First, I had to get Google Hangouts installed and then come to terms with my aversion to Instagram; my teacher wanted to use both somehow. But, mine was her second session of the day; she said her first session failed completely, so we only had to use Google Hangouts - it worked! It turned out to be fun. A few hours before class time (it was held from 6 to 8pm), she cautioned us that it might not work and to consider using a glass of wine to help with the stress all her students were experiencing. It helped! I suppose we are all a bunch of cyber weinies. The lesson was in meditatively drawing a house plant and then adding color using a watercolor glazing technique. You can see me in the lower right corner snapping this picture of her demonstration. See Extra for my attempt.
