Relic of old days

This metal waterwheel was erected in 1890 and did its job until1932. It drove a pump to bring brine from the salt mIne nearby to the town of Schwäbisch Hall where there were the salt works. The name Hall   means place where salt is produced. Salt works date back to Celtic times.
