When I came up to Edinburgh in mid-February looking for a flat to rent, I took this one even though it didn't have a garden. My reasoning was that it's very close to the Botanical Gardens, I can go there. So much for that idea. They're closed and I miss my London garden. It was tiny and always untidy but at least I had outside space. I'm having to try to get a fix of nature when I go out for a walk.

I'd go to a garden centre and buy a load more houseplants, except they're also closed and it's not essential! But my orchid is looking amazing so that's something good.
