Not just bluebells!

Another glorious day. Did a couple of loads of laundry, then my French practice on the Internet, made some lunch galette followed by crêpe (we do live in Brittany)... I lounged about in the sun and hung the laundry out to dry.

Finally I took some pictures, our bluebells are starting to get frazzled in the heat now, and I think they will becoming to an end soon. Our garden faces south from the house, and had two high stone walls down each side, so the flowers on one side are shaded in the morning and the ones on the other side are shaded in the evening. Because of the height of the walls, both are also caught by the shadow of the opposite wall at the other end of the day too, so they only really get the full blast from the sun in the middle of the day.

Compared with last week when there were no insects about at all, this week the bluebells are teaming with bees, so the main blip is a bee, and there is another one in the extra too. There is plenty of light and it's a 1:1 macro, so you can zoom in quite well and there is still detail to see on the bee - it was still long enough for a half decent picture.
