The Toy Abandoned

The discarded play things throughout English gardens season is upon us. Probably a bit earlier than usual this year with the uncommonly warm weather we have been having. Still, it welcomes in a near continual pick up & collect evening ritual by so called adults from now until sometime in September.

In other news...

Rainbow Sparkles’s (our Horsefield Tortoise) outdoor enclosure position has been decided. Due to a fairly deep seated paranoia of getting animal husbandry right, not only has it been located where we can see it from inside the house, but also where we can easily supply electricity to the (on-order) Tortoise House for a heat lamp and UVB should it be deemed necessary.

Construction started today on the enclosure area and will continue over tomorrow and the bank holiday.

Our good friend, near neighbour and fellow blipper @davidd is already supplying eggs from his rescue hens and we are fortunate to be able collect a dozen on Monday.
