Great Saturday

A morning walk among the trees. Great, or Holy, Saturday is often overlooked but in the Christian tradition it is the bleakest of days when all seems lost after a seemingly pointless death without hope. One tradition is that on this day Christ descends into hell to meet evil and release people stuck there. A day to be spent quietly- and today thinking again of all those on the frontline of the virus; an announcement from our local hospital that two porters, married to nurses, have died. May they rest in peace.
