Bit of a shock on a walk this evening. Hadn't been around the Cotterton/Broomhill/Redfield/Allangrange loop for a few months, and so much of the forestry that was here, has been clear felled. Opens up the view, but...

Signs that Winter hasn't quite finished, a little snow still on the low lying distant hills, and I came across a flock of about eight Fieldfares. Signs that Spring is here, loads of birds singing... and first bite from some horrible little midgee-like creature.
