Thank you everyone

I did this yesterday and was surprised to see that the tide hadn’t washed it away, it was still there this afternoon.
It is to say ‘Thank you’ for everyone who is helping at this time of crisis.
Thank you to all the NHS staff, from the doctors to the nurses, the porters, the ambulance drivers, the cleaners, the ladies who bring round drinks and deliver food for the patients. Delivery drivers, warehouse workers, packers, people who work in food shops, Pharmacies and shops that sell essential things. For all the carers who are at home doing what they do day after day, looking after their loved ones. For the carers who work in nursing homes, looking after the elderly and sick. For the school teachers who are teaching the children of front line workers. For policemen who are just doing their job and trying to keep people safe. For the bus drivers and train drivers and all transport staff, getting people to where they need to be. For everyone who is volunteering to help in whatever way they can, delivering food and drugs to the vulnerable, transporting people to appointments, and just letting people know that there is someone out there who cares and will help them. The volunteers picking fruit and vegetables in farms because otherwise it would all go to waste. The people who are sewing ‘scrubs’ in their sitting rooms, to make up the shortfall for the NHS staff. For the people who I haven’t listed, but who are making a difference.

To the millions of people who are taking notice and who are staying at home.
Thank you. Without all of you, we would not be able to survive at this challenging time.
