Our New Life

Lockdown Day 17 - The Planting Day

Today J and I woke up late... It is Sunday after all!
We had a quiet roam in the garden with our coffee looking for interesting things. Our garden has a lot of naturally occuring stone from this region, mostly granite and quartz. J found a few and made this.

It was very hot again today so we couldn't spend too much time outside.... So we came in and watched the recording of this mornings safari that we missed, it was fantastic!! They followed a beautiful female Leopard called Tlalamba.

This afternoon as the sun went down J and I planted out the butternut..... wish us luck!! Let's hope they survive.

Then we sat outside and watched the end of the afternoon safari on my phone, this time we were watching, and from 3 different guides, a male Leopard called Hukumuri (meaning chicken medicine, we have no idea why.) with guide Lauren
Then a lovely Hyaena matriarch with her cubs in a den with guide James and a male Lion calling to his pride with guide Nick.

We usually like to spend our weekends driving in the Kruger National Park looking for animals so we're having withdrawal symptoms, watching the live safaris satisfies our needs for now.
