Buttermilk Wood

The snow has gone! Suddenly the landscape is back to being green again. It is quite a surprise despite the snow only having been around for a week.

We went for a lovely lunch today in Woburn with the girls, Annie's stepmum and Sue (Annie's aunt). It was great fun and lovely to see Sue again as she's just fab. We had enormous Yorkshire puddings, even those that hadn't gone for the roast beef requested one. Yorkshire pudding envy is an ugly thing. A debate then followed about exactly what a 'Rocky Road Terrine' might be. We were nearly right.

On the way home we noticed the beautiful low sun lighting the trees in the delightfully named 'Buttermilk Wood'. Sensing a blip opportunity, a suitable vantage point on the roadside was spotted (we didn't have the right footware for stomping around in the mud) and a couple of quick photos were taken.
