No me neither; well not until I heard a Radio 4 programme about how, virtually, singled handily brought flower cherry tress to this county the effect of which was to be able to ensure their survival in their native Japan. You can read more about  him here  

It is not necessary to travel to Japan to enjoy them; the world's largest collection is just over the border from me in Kent. Most modern housing estates are planed out with flowering Cherry Trees.

HOWEVER, the wind over the past 36 hours has striped the blossom from any exposed tree. That's todays picture. A beautiful tree (which I have pictured previously) is now just an ordinary looking tree. What's more the tulips featured a couple of days ago were looking decidedly the worse for wear today.
