Yellow, blue and green

Gorgeous if cool start to the day. I loved the contrast of our neighbour’s Mahonia with the sky. I am not a great lover of the plant. It is prickly and spreads numerous seedlings. But its vibrant colour is always a delight.

The green element is not in the plant but refers to our solar panels which, via the battery, are now feeding in to the grid. Some final connections and online upgrades were undertaken today and we began consuming and exporting our own power. We have some bureaucracy to go through to get some financial benefit. But it feels good.

The subsequent grey overcast day may have reduced our power output but I remain optimistic that the weather will improve. FaceTimed a school friend in the south of England as we each sat in our gardens, reflecting on how fortunate we were to have the space.
Seem to be communicating by video more than by phone. A welcome change.
