Cherry blossom

A small proportion of our forest was planted with cherry trees. Now, ten years on, they are flowering well and this spring the fine weather is ideal for the pollinating insects. The damson trees in the hedgerows are also in full bloom, so we can look forward to plenty of damsons for eating or processing into jam or for flavouring gin.
